GH100 – Glen Helen steps
Product Description
Order this beautiful bookplate and help save a nature preserve! This gorgeous oil painting, created by Yellow Springs plein air artist Travis Tarbox Hotaling, depicts the iconic steps leading into a beloved nature preserve, Glen Helen, in Yellow Springs, Ohio. The original Glen land was donated to Antioch College in 1929 by Hugh Taylor Birch in memory of his daughter Helen. The Glen encompasses 15 miles of trails on 1,125 acres, and offers life-shaping environmental learning and raptor rehabilitation programs. The preserve was owned by Antioch College until this summer, when it was purchased by the Glen Helen Association (GHA), a non-profit formed in the 1960s to steward and protect the Glen. The GHA needs ongoing support for maintenance of the Glen and to complete payments for the purchase of the land. All profits from the sale of this bookplate will go to the GHA for this purpose.
